ABOUT THE CHEF

 

I would like to introduce myself my name is Richard Wood I am chef owner of Woodrich Events. 

The kitchen always felt like home to me, at an early age I found myself drawn to the art of cooking and before I could reach the top of the stove I was sliding the stool over to it so I could reach. I have dedicated my life to the hospitality field. After graduating from the Art Institute in Seattle and then the Cordon Bleu in Paris I traveled across the country from Seattle to Philadelphia, Chicago to California learning the different styles and cultures of cuisine to feed my passion for the culinary arts and travel.

I now reside in the Bay area where I find true inspiration in my work with my demographics being one of the most prosperous culinary meccas on the planet.

My food philosophy is simply to use the freshest local ingredients; I am dedicated to supporting the local community by purchasing as much of our products from local farms and businesses. Around the bay area and the Peninsula, whether it is an outside BBQ or an elegant dinner party for 8 rest assured what your enjoying was born, raised and grown close to your back yard.
